Mr. Samson Ng Sau Lung

Antique Chinese Arts Advisor (Porcelain and Painting)

Mr. Samson Ng Sau Lung was born into a family of antique dealers, and from a young age had a deep interest in ancient Chinese Art. In the 1970s, he studied from Mr. Ho Ping-chung, a consultant at the Hong Kong City Hall Museum, to study the connoisseurship and research of ancient ceramics, as well as classical Chinese literature. He also studied painting and calligraphy under Professor Ho Man-lick of the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Fine Arts Department. Since then, he has embarked on a journey to collect ceramics, paintings, calligraphy, and other artworks both in China and around the world.

In 1978, Mr. Ng and his father founded the “Heritage Antique and Jewellery” company in Hong Kong. He also frequently participates in archaeological teams investigating ancient kiln sites in China, and in his spare time visits renowned museums at home and abroad to learn and observe.

After retirement, Mr. Ng has dedicated himself to passing on this valuable cultural heritage experience and knowledge to the younger generation. As a passionate collector of antiques, he hopes to share his precious collecting journey with every member who reads this commemorative publication.
